1. Upon contracting the service as described in Sign up and Payment, clients must send a draft to info@onscreeninterpreters.com on the topics to be interpreted at the videoconference. Then users will be sent a password to enter the conference room at the scheduled date and time. Once there they will be contacted by the assigned interpreter through videocall
2. After testing a number of webconference providers, Onscreeninterpreters has chosen Webex Meetings. Apart from being the system that resulted to offer the best quality of both image and sound, of paramount importance for our product, it is well known and so everybody around the world is used to handling its applications; other similar ones proved to be complex and a nuisance to users. Hence Webex software will have to be downloaded before the first webconference.
3. Clients will then be attending to an interpretation session through their webcams exactly as on site interpretation, but in a virtual mode. In the same way they will be given guidances on how to interact by our operators, prior to the conference. We prefer to do it this way instead of showing tangled graphs or recorded demos at the website. |
4. According to the features of our clients, Onscreeninterpreters does not provide webconference interpreting on short notice; first you need to arrange it in advance, formally indicating date and time. However, we can place a videoconference interpreter at your disposal within the term of one hour or two. Should this be the case, the draft described in How to Use it is not required and hence it is your responsability to clarify on the spot the terms of use. We recommend this option for simple business conversations where no technical or specific jargon is at stake.
5. Keep in mind that as with any other videoconference, users cannot only see people´s appearances, but also show manufactured items or machinery. While this happens, Onscreeninterpeters users will be able to give explanations or describe details about them, interpreted by our operators on the spot. |
